Day 4 | Picking a Platform

Today is Pick your Platform day!

There are MANY out there so the goal of today is to mess around with them.  Take advantage of their free trials or promotional time and work out the kinks.

Then we are going to implement what we worked on YESTERDAY, and use the platform with a friend to tweak our process.

To start…let’s talk about 3 main email CRM (client relationship management) options.

  1. MailChimp 
  2. MadMimi
  3. Convertkit

Let’s break them down

MadMimi (details)

Best if you’re technically challenged

Drag + Drop design features with less templates, but superior design

Cheaper then Mailchimp once your list grows above 2,000 and have high volume emails

More sophisticated functionality than MadMimi with many more bells and whistles

Convertkit (details)

$29 (0-1,000 subscribers or $49/month 1k-3,000 subscribers)

More sophisticated functionality than MadMimi + MailChimp with many more bells and whistles

Test them all before committing!  They have free trials for you to mess around behind the scenes and figure out what feels best for you and suits your needs.

Take the weekend and mess around with all three platforms.  Use your email from yesterday and plug it into the new platform.  Partner up with a friend and send them test emails.  Get their feedback…
